Literally and Photographically My OCD World

We have signed up for some fancy pants company to keep track of all the TV programs we watch as a family, online and through digital television. The data will be used towards national statistics, deciding what shows will receive more funding etc. (well that’s my understanding of it, they really are watching me, it’s not paranoia!)

As well as a reduction in the amount of pornos I will consume, it has also meant a man has had to install the monitoring technology in my room. Having a stranger in and amongst all my stuff makes me feel uncomfortable.

It was worth the discomfort to hear the instillation guy comment that my room was “the most retro room” he had visited. (I rightly or wrongly take that as a compliment :p).

Today I have decided to let all you all to take around the room where all the magic happens, my OCD World.

Virtually rifle through my stuff, and dislodge from your heads the idea that every person with OCD keeps things in symmetrical order.

Welcome to quite literally my OCD World

OCD World UK Symbol cooecting support network helping young adults and teens coping with obsessive compulsive disorder
OCD World UK has a spiffing new symbol to go with the new OCD World business cards. The image incorporates two hands connecting, reflecting the support network OCD World aims to achieve, helping young adults coping with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It also features the globe displaying OCD world is open to every young person affected by OCD all around this beautiful planet, not just the United Kingdom where we are based.

What do you guys think? All feedback is welcome.

It is always nice to receive positive feedback and constructive criticism from your friends. It's great when those closest to you encourage you to continue pursuing your passions while steering you down the straight and narrow.

Another priceless quality in a pal is to be able to share a sense of humour.

Enter my long time buddy John Jones BSc. In his own witty way he has brought to my attention my “big use of words”, when expressing myself online could be interpreted as a “pain in the arse”.

I received this prank voice mail on Monday from the “ministry of Facebook updates" AKA John Jones.

No offence intended to the Irish :s

What do you think guys? Plough forth with words over 10 characters long? Tone it down a bit? A lot?

Two Steps Forward One Step Back

Sometimes things get smaller before they get bigger . . . at least that’s what I tell the ladies.

I have made an executive decision to get rid of the articles section of OCD World, but I can explain my thinking behind this madness.

OCD World is still punk rock (which is awesome in its own right!) but it will inevitably hit maturity and grow up (who knows, maybe one day I will too!)

The articles are a compilation of the finest blog posts from the original OCD World website (it wasn’t perfect so it had to go!). They were all written from an angry cocktail of pills and sleep deprivation, making it strenuous for you lovely people to extract useful tips, hints and value applicable to your own lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating them, and they served as great experimentation to really find my writing style.

Overtime they will be salvaged, and rehashed focusing more on OCD problems and solutions, and then drip fed back into the blog.

The aim is to aid there usability, searchablity and lots of other "abilities" to boot, spreading more smiles on all your faces.

Much love, Chris.
