I Want To Hypnotize You & Me

I bought my first book on hypnosis in High School. It was beat up old book from a charity shop. I always had trouble sleeping, stressing over the infamous Monday test in my Science classes. Sounds of the rain forest wasn't helping me (the cover of the CD had the word "equilibrium" on it, and it got my mind racing again about the impending biology exams (The Whale's didn't help either!!!!).

I would practise self hypnosis as I worked through the book, putting myself to sleep and visualising my goals. Now when medical staff tell me I need more sleep it still freaks the shit out of me.

Naturally I progressed to further study of neuro-linguistic-programing and gobbled up books by Darren Brown. I was fascinated with the human mind and how my nan "lost" hers when she was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

I bought Dr Winsons book when I saw him live in Wrexham as part of Science Week. After reading it on a beach in Ireland I made a concious decision to try Marajuna (but saved that for a good few years and a trip to Amsterdam (When in Rome)). This is not to be advised if you are an anxious person already!

I wanted to save my nan with my biology powers but I was just a kid. I wanted to cure cancer too! I wished I could save the whole bloody world (but no man is an island, except the Isle of Man). That was my dream.

I read the Game by Neil Strauss as my love life wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The darker side of the pick up community was exposed and that scared the shit out of me. What kind of sicko would use hypnosis to lure people into bed. What if people think that is what I am doing (after all knowledge is power - I have heard it enough times).

If you ever see me puffing away on my e-cig I am probabily anxious about something. I am nothing but a dirty stinking addict now.
But back to self hypnosis. I'd thoroughly recommend it, just don't try it while on drugs prescribed by anybody but a professional (I tried calms and they did balls all for me). Don't take any drugs that arn't prescribed by a professional. If you are having trouble sleeping there is probabely a deeper reason so you need help from somebody who knows what they are doing. A parent, a teacher a Doctor. A quote from one of my favourite books is probabely a good place to end "you never get sick for no reason".

People are there to help, but when they are not around you need to help yourself. The internet can be a scary place if it is new to you but there are plenty of resources out there on hypnotherapy.
